Letter from the President

On behalf of the members of Raleigh Graduate Chapter of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, I welcome you to our website. We were charted in 1989 under the leadership of Arlena Groves, Veronica Mack-Cohen, Patricia Sampson, Arnetta White, Gwendolyn Whitley, Kim Williams-Capers and Teresa Edmundson. We are one of the over 50 graduate and undergraduate chapters of the National Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc. which was founded on April 4, 1969,
at the one-year anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Since 1989, the Raleigh Grad Chapter of Swing Phi Swing has stayed committed to the vision of the organization founders, which is guided by public service, promoting economic excellence and sisterhood. Sisterhood is what brings us together as a chapter and what makes us excited to be part of this amazing organization.

Please also visit the National Swing Phi Swing website at to learn what we are doing on the national scene.

Thank you again,

Roxanne Aaron
