OLA Sisters and Welcome Brothers, Family, Friends, and Visitors

There was a young lady that I mentored at church about 20+ years ago whom I thought the world of. Even though she was very opinionated and outspoken, she was a joy to work with. She knew I was a member of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship Incorporated®, but she had no idea who or what we were.

She was always with me as I tried to exhibit an attitude of clean fun and commitment to whatever we were doing. I recently found out that she is now a candidate for our beloved organization, and it was based on what she observed in me and my daughter—our genuine love for an organization that could become meaningful in her own maturity.

This story is simply to say to my sisters: you never know who is watching you. I am glad that she saw, through me, who we are and what we stand for. I am proud that I wear the Swing Phi banner with pride and dignity and show belief and sincerity in the oath I took.

I encourage each of us to take the time to look within ourselves and our hearts to discover what this banner says about you. The pride of being a Swing is real—it represents so much of why I am who I am.

The Raleigh Graduate Chapter strives to demonstrate that same positive attitude. We recognize the noble and rich heritage that this organization represents, and we commit to representing it with unity and strength.

I am Jewyl Edwards Dunn, President of the Raleigh Graduate Chapter of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.®— and a legacy maker!
